Applied Mechanical Engineering Logo Design
As an alumnus of the Carroll County Career & Technology Center, I gained invaluable experience—especially in the world of print. Over the years, I’ve stayed connected by visiting the school, working with students, and collaborating with teachers, including the Machine Technology instructor.
Interest in the Machine Technology program had been declining, which struck a chord with me. Growing up immersed in precision machining (thanks, Dad), I understood the significance of this field and the importance of keeping students engaged in it.
To spark interest, the instructor and school administration proposed renaming the program. After countless brainstorming sessions, emails, and meetings, they settled on Applied Mechanical Engineering—a name designed to better reflect the field’s relevance and appeal. I was then tasked with creating a new seal-style logo to support this rebranding effort.
Even small changes in marketing and visual identity can make a big impact. A year later, the program now has a waitlist. Mission accomplished!
