House of Tea Packaging

KUCD MFA PROJECT, AUG 2022

During the penultimate semester of my MFA in Communication Design at Kutztown University
in Pennsylvania, I had the pleasure of working on a project prompt where I could “travel through words.” After binge-reading, “A Court of Thorns and Roses,” by Sarah J. Maas, I couldn’t help but choose this world to explore.

For the project, I decided to develop a tea brand and design the packaging. I really wanted to utilize cylindrical packaging for this to expand my experience in packaging design. 

Each package design is thoughtfully crafted, from the illustrations to the copy to the ingredients and flavor notes of the tea blends. All of the illustrations are inspired by cannon references throughout the series and were all crafted in the iPad app, Procreate. Assets were brought into Illustrator for refinement and placement onto the package design.
